Better Education
The BPF Education Plan
Education is by far the most powerful tool we can arm our young people with for them to be a contributing force in the development of themselves, their communities and by extension the nation. This is where we also have the most common barrier to achieving this goal. Education cost has skyrocketed over the past decade, many children are sent home for non-payment of tuition and or other fees. For us, to arrest this trend there must be bold decisions made and adhered to, in an effort to mitigate and reduce the number of children not enrolled in school. The BPF finds this practice to be an assault against the right of our children to purse an education.
For this endeavor, we foresee these basic steps as crucial to mending our educational programs.
Reduce the Cost of Education:
The BPF will seek to totally abolish the cost of Primary Level Education and will undertake to provide subsidized Secondary Education to the needy in both urban and rural settings.
School Feeding Programs:
Where the need is greatest, school meal programs will be implemented to increase the participation of hungry children in the classroom setting. Studies have shown that providing feeding programs have increased math scores, student concentration, maintained attendance in school programs and have reported a higher achievement on standardized test.
New Educational Model:
With the ever-growing number of unemployed young people leaving the school system; there needs to be a shift in focus of what we are preparing our young workforce for. While we have typically produced office personnel; we have a dire need for trained experts in, artificial intelligence/smart technologies, applied sciences, construction, Air Conditioning, Aviation, Mechanical and Electrical Technicians that will be in line with having personnel for the jobs being created.
Improved Resources for Teachers:
Computer aided learning will invariably enhance the ability of the teachers to promote and enhance the educational experience of both, teacher and student. This new age appropriate learning software will be maintained by skilled and qualified personnel.
These methods have proven to encourage student enrollment and more importantly, have encouraged children and young adults to learn more.
