Alfonso Acosta (born March 8, 1963) in the village of Cristo Rey Village, Corozal District. He is a graduate from the University of Belize receiving a Certificate in Teaching Level One and Level Two. He received his First-Class Teacher’s Certificate from the Ministry of Education. He is also a graduate from Escuela Secundaria Tecnica Mexico (ESTM) receiving a High School Diploma.
Alfonso serves in the leadership role within the Evangelical Churches – (Glory Divine Church in Cristo Rey Village). In 2003 he was sworn in as a Justice of the Peace (J.P.) – To bear true faith and allegiance to Belize. In 2013 he attended and successfully completed the D. License for Coaching and Grassroots Coaching for the (CONCACAF).
Alfonso is a retired teacher, was a manager for the waterboard in his village, he is a church leader, a sports coordinator and serves his community as a J.P. and counselor to the nearby youths.
Presently, Alfonso serves as the Standard Bearer for the Corozal North Constituency under the Belize People’s Front to serve his people, community and nation.
