Kurt Lizarraga
Standard Bearer
Kurt Mathew Lizarraga (born May 4, 1965) in San Ignacio Town, Cayo District to Mr. Pedro Lizarraga and Mrs. Hilda Lizarraga Nee Bejos. He attended Holy Redeemer Primary School, went on to St. John’s College, then transferred to Wesley College in Belize City. He worked for Renco Battery Factory for 13 years until he decided to go into business for himself. Kurt has been self-employed for at least 24 years. He is the Owner/Manager of Mayan Construction and has been in the construction business for the past 23 years.
Kurt has gotten tired of the corruption and inequality that has plagued his beloved country for far too long. Therefore, he decided to present himself as a Belize People’s Front (BPF) Standard Bearer for the Cayo North Constituency, under the Leadership of Mrs. Nancy Marin. He believes and trust the plan of action and transformation map that she has for his beautiful jewel Belize.
He believes that it is time for Belizeans to start and hold elected representatives accountable for their actions and deeds. It is time for his country to begin healing from all the mismanagement of funds that has been going on, for over 40 years now. It is time for proper health care, education, new job creation and opportunities, reliable and durable infrastructure, sports and most of all, it is time to change the system, the status quo, that has been going on, as ‘business as usual’ for too long under both former and present governments, the PUDP must go!!!
He considers himself a patriot of Belize, this is his country and the country of his children and grandchildren. It is time for all new politicians to raise, start thinking of them, their future, and to work for this younger generation. Building a better Belize for them and everyone is his major goal within the political sphere.
He strongly believes that we need outstanding patriotic Belizeans to bring the change everyone is hoping for but have been blinded by party politics, red or white!
