Marino Assi (born December 26, 1963) in San Antonio Village, Toledo District. He attended the San Luis Rey R.C. School in San Antonio, Toledo and further attended St. Peter Claver College in Punta Gorda Town from 1978-1982. He was enlisted in the Belize Defense Force (BDF) from 1983-2001, serving as an infantry soldier, non-commissioned officer (NCO) and senior (NCO). He lastly worked at the Force Hospital as a medical technician. Thereafter, he found civilian jobs as store supervisor, senior security officer at the Belize Sugar Industry (BSI) and is presently working as security guard for The People’s Store in beautiful Orange Walk Town.
He is a fraternal twin, whereas unfortunately, his other brother passed away 5 years ago. He comes from a family of 12, only 8 of them are still alive and both his parents are deceased. He is a family man with 30 years of marriage of which he has 2 beautiful daughters.
Today Mr. Assi is our Standard Bearer for the Orange Walk North constituency and is very enthusiastic to be part of our history in the making…
